ST1 Classic Hollow Baseplate (8 Hole Baseplate)

The ST1 Classic Hollow Baseplate (8 Hole Baseplate) is a replacement baseplate for Slappy's Classic hollow kingpin trucks. The baseplate is the bottom half of a truck: it bolts to your deck and holds the kingpin, pivot cup and bushings that the hanger rides on. The 8-hole mounting pattern lines up with decks drilled for either old-school or new-school hole spacing.

When to replace a baseplate

Replace a baseplate when it is cracked, when the kingpin threads have stripped, or when you are changing setups. The rest of the truck can stay in service - add bushings, pivot cups, kingpins and hardware if they are worn too.

Rebuild instead of replace

Slappy sells its parts individually so one worn piece never means a new set of trucks. With a Slappy tool a baseplate swap is a few minutes of work: unbolt the truck from the deck, pull the hanger off the kingpin, move the pivot cup and bushings over to the new baseplate, and rebuild in reverse.
